Pregnancy? Weight Changes? Get More Out Of Your Bras
Right around that six month mark in so many pregnancies is when it happens. Suddenly your bra doesn’t fit. And we don’t just mean cup sizes. As your baby grows, your ribcage expands, causing your band size to ho up and up. Instead of being super uncomfortable, not to mention suffering the dreaded “back fat” rolls from a too tight bra band, try out a bra extender.
A simple bra extender like those found, at Coco’s Closet, is a great way to squeeze more use from those old bra sizes. Need another inch or two? No problem. Extenders come in three common colors and offer three hook and two hook varieties. Just hook the extender in between your normal bra band fasteners and voila! A little more room to grow.
Not only are bra extenders a great way to deal with pregnancy growth or general weight gain, they are convenient for the shrinking months as well. With each baby, I start of with snug, supportive nursing bras. However, within a month or two, as my ribcage moves back into place, my bra band gets too loose and stops doing its job. This problem can be remedied by purchasing a nursing bra in a smaller band size to begin with and just use an extender for those first several weeks.
Instead of spending a ton of money on new bras, use the size you’ll eventually need and couple bra extenders. Easy and inexpensive.
