The Roller Derby Art theme carries through various typography prints and skate patterns. Each print is available as an art print, mug, tote bag, and pillow.
Why roller derby? Well, it is personal. In 2017, I decided to start up with a recreation derby league in my area and loved the challenge. Derby is a full contact sport with wheels on your feet. What is NOT scary about it? At the tryouts for a big league in my area, I ended up with a compound fracture of the tibia and fibula, which presented a whole new challenge. How could I work, run my household, and raise all of my young children with a broken leg? It was not easy, but with it came a lot of growth for myself, my family, and my marriage. I am now all healed and skating with a smaller league. It is still terrifying. However, I am a firm believer that we all should do something terrifying on occasion.
