Parenting lifestyles.
Some people integrate their kids into their lives. Other integrate themselves into a child-centric life. Neither is right or wrong. it is all abut preference. I started with integrating kids into my life with the first three kids and I have to admit, once you get to four kids and beyond, your life begins revolving around them a bit more no matter what you do.
My personal feeling is that life goes on and so should you. I drag my kids all over kingdom come. Nap time can happen in their carseat or stroller. If I had to stay home all day every day, I would never get anything done, and it would be bad for my health. We are out and about from birth, come rain or shine.
Because of this, I am a stroller fiend. Maybe. Probably. I mean, I only have five strollers. Those people who only have one stroller and barely used it? I don’t get them at all. I am a walk 10 miles a day kind of person and with a bunch of kids, I need strollers. I’m not about to teeter along at the pace of my toddlers. That just doesn’t work for me. So in this house we have baby carriers and strollers galore!
Right now my biggest need for a stroller is this guy right here. He is rambunctious, energetic, and a daredevil.
When it comes to a stroller, I like something that works for a newborn and an older toddler. The Ergobaby 180 Reversible Stroller fits the bill more than any of my previous non-jogger strollers.
Important features:
- From birth to 50 lbs
- Reversible handle and direction
- Locking swivel wheels
- Large storage capacity
- Lightweight. Just 20 lbs!!
- Huge canopy for sun protection
- Lay back seat for newborns and nap time
- Adjustible handlebar
- One handed folding for on the go
This is my new favorite single stroller. Now I want them to make one with all terrain tires!
The Ergobaby 180 Reversible Stroller has all the features of my chunkier stroller with the exception of the reversible push handle. That is a game changer. I am fine with toddlers facing forward and away from me, but I like to see my newborns. So many strollers only offer one direction or the other. This one lets you do either, with or without an infant car seat. I love that the seat lays back far enough for a young newborn and can face me! Plus, most strollers do not have a tall enough push handle. I have longish legs and rarely find a stroller that doesn’t leave me kicking the back wheels with every step. It is frustrating to walk with an unnatural gait just because your stroller is designed for someone only 5’3″. With the Ergobaby, I can pull those handles way up and walk naturally with no hunching over.
I also love how huge an area the canopy cover. If you’ve ever read my previous stroller musings, you know I like a huge canopy. I don’t like slathering my little ones in sunscreen and so many stroller canopies are inadequate. Not so with the Ergobaby 180 Reversible. My 20 month old just has his foes showing. Which means a younger baby will be totally covered. I can lay back my infant and pull the sunshade for a cozy little cave during outings.
As you can see, the stroller is roomy in multiple ways. I can fit a full sized backpack in the storage basket. Plus, my girl Morgan can fit very comfortably just four months shy of her 4th birthday. The weight limit is 50 lbs, which is standard for single strollers. Most kids will be too tall long before they are too heavy for it.
I recommend this stroller for:
- People with multiple infant toddlers since it is easy to adjust
- People who are tall or couples with a big height difference
- Parents who need larger storage
- Parents with small vehicles
- Parents looking for an all in one stroller to work from birth through toddlerhood
I have a new baby coming this summer and plan on using the Ergobaby 180 Reversible Stroller quite a bit. And if my 20 month old needs a ride, at least I have my Ergobaby 360 as backup!
