*Pads provided by Buttons Diapers for review
One of our favorite cloth diaper companies, Buttons Diapers, has recently come out with their own line of cloth menstrual pads, named Dahlia Cloth. A lovely name for a lovely pad! Reusable cloth pads are comfy, economical, green, and better for your body. If you already like reusable pads, you will enjoy Dahlia pads!
Dahlia pads come in a three pack, with all three being the same size. The top cloth layer is microfleece, which is soft and wicks away moisture. Beneath the gleece is an absorbant microfiber layer. The back lining and wings are made from polyurethane laminate which offers “water proof” protection against leaks.
Dahlia pads have the awesome protection of wings, but without the bunching and messy adhesive tapes. The wings each have a resin snap to secure the pad. Just lay the pad on underwear with the fleece side up and snap them around the underwear beneath. No tapes mean no sticking to anything sensitive. If you have used disposable pads with wings you have probably experienced the unexpected and painful ‘bikini wax’ that sometimes happens with those adhesive tapes! Youch!
Pads come in three sizes:
Small 8.5″ ($15)
Medium 11″ ($17
Large 13.5″ ($18)
I’ve recently had a cesarean and have been using the large size as postpartum pads. They are way more comfortable than those bulky hospital pads, and the length offers more protection then a regular disposable pad.
The Dahlia cloth menstrual pads have been my favorite cloth pads to date. They are a tad more narrow than some cloth pads which makes them more comfortable. Plus, the microfleece allows for them to wash up beautifully. No stains at all.
At $18 for the large set, they are a bit cheaper than other brands too.
The simple design by a trusted brand makes Dahlia Cloth a top choice.
