Wipe out! Retaining Your Baby Wipe Addiction after the Diaper Years
*sponsored by Huggies
Wait, whaaaaaaaat? Yes, really. Baby wipes are to some people what Windex was to the dad in My Big Fat Greek Wedding. They take care of everything! Obviously, we have plenty of cloth wipes at our house, but the convenience of a disposable wipe goes without saying, so we have always utilized both.
My husband’s favorite wipes are Huggies because they are durable and don’t bunch up. Now, with Huggies Simply Clean alcohol free wipes, the addiction can remain well after your kids are potty trained.
Uses for Wipes When You Are Done with Diapers
Restaurants
Even if we order the cleanest, most non-greasy dish ever, the kids are somehow a mess. It is easier to utilize a Huggies wipe at the table than haul everyone to the restroom. They should be grateful I don’t do what my mother did and rub spit covered napkins on their faces.
Activity Centers
You know those play lands at malls? We have a good one by our house. You know it is good because there are about eight million toddlers there, within five minutes of opening. I’m not normally a germ-a-phobe, but there are certain times of the year I’m tired of another family-wide bug and take to wiping down my daughter’s hands after being in those places. It is also a good idea when leaving the doctor office.
In the stroller/at the park
These two go hand in hand at our house. The double stroller heads to the park several times a week. The kids get filthy on the playground and I wipe down their hands and faces before the dirt migrates to their clothes. Plus, parks mean port-a-potties. Are my kids the only ones obsessed with playing in the little “sink” (urinal!) in the port-a-potty? Yuck!
At the gym
I lift hard and sweat hard. The results are awesome strength and a not so awesome body odor. A quick freshen up on the pits with Huggies Simply Clean helps to not become a social outcast.
Removing makeup/freshening face
Cleaning up your face at the gym with a wipe is a no-brainer, but they are convenient for makeup removal at home too. If it is too late or you’re too tired for full production washing, at least wipe down your face before bed. Your pores and pillow cases will thank you.
In the car
Most of these uses are taken care of by keeping wipes in your car. Or in your giant purse. Come on moms, you know you got used to the diaper-bag-turned-traveling-
In the bathroom!
We don’t need to go into details here, but a everyone likes feeling clean. Well, most people. Keeping a pack of wipes on the back of the toilet just makes sense. (Don’t flush them though!)
