Clean bodies, clean conscience, clean planet
Plenty of us have looked at the long list of indiscernible ingredients on our body wash and thought of switching back to bar soap for shower time. And not just beauty bars sold in bog box stores. Those can be just as bad. REAL soap, the kind made from fats and lye, is the simplest way to go when it comes to cleansers. Would you like to take it a step further? How about a soap bar made with simple, natural ingredients, made by a company with a planet helping agenda?
One company makes loving the earth easy. Eartheasy.

Eartheasy has one basic goal, “to encourage, inspire and inform people about the benefits of a simpler, less material lifestyle, and the importance of protecting our natural environment as the source of our well-being.” Eartheasy is a family owned and run business dedicated to sustainability and conservation. Not only do they offer many products dedicated to green living, they offer information on eco-gardening and living off the grid straight from their own experience. They run their business with as small a carbon footprint as possible and try to source all products from USA, Canada, or ethical manufacturers.
Eartheasy has an awesome line of natural soaps currently available in four varieties: Leatherback ( mint), Orca (Unscented), Orangutan (tangerine mint), and honeybee (oat & honey).
Orca Bar
The Orca bar is completely unscented soap with very few ingredients. it is basically a Castile soap perfect for sensitive skin. Plus, 100% of the net profits to Ocean Alliance. Many toxins in cleansers crawl up the food chain since they pollute the smaller animals, which get eaten by larger animals, leading to large predators like Orcas to be filled with high levels of chemical toxins. Not so with this soap.
Orca Bar Ingredients: Organic Saponified Palm, Coconut and Olive Oil.
Honeybee Bar
The Honeybee bar is a moisturizing and exfoliating bar. Oatmeal and bran offer safe exfoliation without microbeads or pollutants. To help out the dwindling honeybee population, needed for crops, 100% of the net profits go to the Pollinator Partnership. This soap is unscented, but the oats and honey do give it a naturally sweet and earthy smell. (In fact, oatmeal and honey soap is one of my personal favorites to make, when I am on a soap making kick!)
Honeybee bar Ingredients: Organic Saponified Palm, Coconut Oil and Olive Oils, Organic Oatmeal, Organic Bran, Honey.
Leatherback bar
The Leatherback bar is a double mint Castile style soap with both peppermint and spearmint essential oils. The minty smell not only smells amazing, but it creates a bit of a cooling sensation on your skin, it us a very energizing soap! A perfect early morning pick me up. In fact peppermint is often suggested for relieving tension, headaches and sluggishness. Why is it called leatherback? Well, 100% of the profits to SEE Turtles, an organization to help to the Leatherback turtles who are often hurt by plastic refuse in our oceans.
Leatherback bar Ingredients: Organic Saponified Palm, Coconut and Olive Oils, Essential Oils, Natural Coloring.
Orangutan Bar
The Orangutan Bar is the heavenly scented pick-me-up soap. It is scented with essential oils of tangerine and peppermint, the dynamic duo of energizing aromas. It might be hard to bathe with this soap if you are hungry, since you may be tempted to take a bite. Orangutans are endangered and do not reproduce often since like humans, their gestation and parenting trials are…..trying. This soap is crafted with ethically harvested palm oil so as not to contribute to deforestation. Bonus, 100% of net profits on this bar go to the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation
Orangutan Bar Ingredients: Organic Saponified Palm, Coconut and Olive Oils, Essential Oils, Organic Oatmeal, and Organic Bran.
All Eartheasy soaps are crafted with vegetable oils, making them vegan friendly, long lasting, low sudsing, and safe for the environment. They contain no artificial colors or fragrances. The watercolor images on the packaging make these soaps unique and appealing. They are a perfect gift for anyone with sensitive skin and a desire to feel good about where their products are sourced.
