Mory went through a huge growth spurt and her nine month sized clothes are fitting like a glove on her three month old body. Eeep!
I managed to kill multiple cacti. They look mildly alive, but are hollow inside. I lost my green thumb around the same time I lost my pre-Kid waistline.
The play yard saw way too much action because the toddlers just cannot get along. They play for exactly three seconds before someone is screaming and crying about a grave injustice. Or they just plain start smacking the baby. Wyn has actually been starting her day asking to go in the play pen. I think she finds it calming.
My holiday decorating consisted of that tree in the den and a single poinsettia in our otherwise empty living room.
Lucky seems to like being a big brother again. He loves to help out with burp rags and diaper changes. I’m not sure the baby likes it though since he can get a bit rough.
I am really looking forward to resuming regular life after the holiday madness. My house is a mess, my walls need painting, my office needs organizing, and I need a haircut in the worst way. I also need some mousetraps because the other night while up for a baby feeding in the dark, I saw something the size of a baby sock scurry across the floor. It was dark, so we either have a mouse, or a tarantula, or a very quick moving toad. It is winter in our frozen tundra, so my money is on rodent. Normally I would not be grossed out by one little mouse, but whenever I see a piece of mystery crunch on the floor, the kids dive for it and eat it before I get to inspect it. If it is a three week old raisin, I don’t care, but if there is a chance it could be a mouse poop…….eeeeewwwww! I’m not sure how he got in the house, but there are about 500 of them living in the firewood pile next to the walk out door, so I guess it is not surprising. Clearly my cat is not earning her keep.
Wyn’s birthday is coming up, so I need to get moving on at least designing the cake. She is obsessed with princess crap, so I am guessing it will be pink. Because. Every. Single. Thing. Is. Pink.
