Now that we are organizing and settling into our new home, I can soon focus my mind on a big event coming up this August: the birth of our third child. I am just now coming to terms with the fact that I’m pregnant. I was kind of surprised, shocked actually, to learn we were having another and I am emotionally not ready at ALL. However, I still need to physically prepare by collecting my tried and true baby items for our coming bundle.
No matter the huge difference in their personalities and temperaments, both of my previous babies loved their swaddles. And this mama loves the convenient swaddles by Summer Infant. The Summer Infant Swaddle line has been a lifesaver in our family from day one. The swaddle shape and velcro fixtures ensure a snug wrap every time, providing the warmth and security our babies loved. I like to joke that my very overdue babies really just wanted back in the womb and that was why they liked being tightly wrapped for so many months.

Luckily, Summer Infant, the maker of the #1 swaddle wrap, the SwaddleMe, is expanding its swaddle collection to help soothe babies as they transition out of swaddles. This in turn, puts parents’ minds at ease and helps mom and dad get some much needed sleep. You may already be familiar with the SwaddlePod and SwaddleMe wraps, used to help soothe crying babies, while also keeping babies on their backs (and hence helping to reduce the risk of SIDS). All while ensuring they’re warm and comfy.
The new additions complete an easy-to-understand swaddling system designed to replace loose bedding in the crib and aiding in a calmer sleep for all. Plus, the cute colors and patterns bring out the personality in any little one.
The four stages of swaddling ensure a nicer night of sleep for mom, dad, and baby, while also being safe.
Stage 1: SwaddlePod (5-10 lbs)
Recreate the comfort of the
womb.
Stage 2: SwaddleMe® (7-20 lbs)
Easiest way to Swaddle for safe and sound sleep.
Stage 3: SwaddleMe® WrapSack (7-20 lbs)
Transitioning swaddle, arms in or out.
Stage 4: ComfortMe® (12-24 lbs)
Keeps baby warm, and replaces loose blankets in crib.
My son didn’t transition to stage three until he was around 10 months old, but my daughter was in stage three or four by the time she hit four months old. I used to just use the Swaddleme with baby’s arms out for stage three, but now with the addition of WrapSack and ComfortMe, I am looking forward to using something that is meant for that type of swaddle.
