I will admit right now, I was skeptical. I generally do not have much luck with liquid detergents and our hard water. Because of my doubts, I used too much (around three teaspoons) and my entire basement smelled like I was whipping up about 16 kettles of eucalyptus soap. Oops. No worries, since it rinses out pretty clean and it was just a lot of essential oil vapor causing the strong scent. I followed the directions with just 1-2 teaspoons from then on and all has been fine. Great even! The soap nut extract cleans quite well and the glycerine content works for our hard water. The essential oil blend includes tea tree, eucalyptus, lavender, and grapefruit essential oils for cleaning and disinfecting properties. The smell is strong, but I enjoy it since they are all oils I use with regularity.
