Ever since I swiped my mom’s baby carrier to use with my youngest siblings while babysitting (16 and 20 years younger than me), I knew I would be one of those baby wearing moms. It is just such a simple way to not only bond with your baby, but also keep them happy. I know not every parent is into baby wearing and it can take a while to find the perfect carrier for each stage of infant and toddler-hood. My latest baby wearing adventure has been with a baby sling by HotSlings! The new Hotslings Adjustable Pouch comes in two sizes that can grow and shrink with your body. Instead of needing to buy another sling in a smaller size when you lose that pregnancy weight, you can adjust your sling smaller as your body changes. Each Hotslings AP has two ” tri-glides” (adjustable straps) that can adjust from 22 inches to 26 inches from hip to shoulder in the regular size, or 27 to 30 inches in the large. This is great for losing or gaining weight, parents of different heights and weights, and even growing and shrinking breasts during different stages of nursing.
Aside from the beautiful prints the Hotslings are available in, the adjustable part of this sling is a definite improvement. I do not have any of the previous Hotslings for comparison, but I have heard people do not like the previous style as much. I do have an adjustable sling in another brand, but I like the Hotslings AP better because it adjusts further, plus it is more comfortable. Some other slings have a giant single buckle for some minor sizing, but the tri-glides on the Hotslings AP are easy to shift and stay put. You can then stuff the extra strapping into the little pockets located next to the glides. This makes for a more streamlines looks without any straps dangling.
This sling has great construction and I actually like it better than I thought I would. The size of the pouch is perfect for my 16 pound 11 month old. One thing I found is the sizing seems kind of big to me. I am taller than average and have a lot of baby weight to lose still, so I got a large, but I think the medium might have been a better choice. I am technically plus sized right now and I still needed to adjust the straps to the middle setting or smaller, so I am sure at my normal weight I would need the medium. However, I do find this larger sizing to be a breath of fresh air after trying some other slings that come in sizes XS to large with the large being the equivalent of a dress size four. Postpartum women have enough to worry about without our baby carriers making us feel fat!
The Hotslings AP also comes with a matching Diaper Pod that can be used as a carrying or storage bag for your sling or as a cute bag for diapers, toys, or whatever you like. You can stuff your sling into the pod and slide it right into your stroller or diaper bag for convenient storage.
You can purchase theHotslings AP right on their website for $64.95.

That is a really cute sling! It looks very comfortable.
This looks like it’s so easy to use. I love easy! Their fabrics are gorgeous, too.
Love the print. I’ve yet to try a hotslings but it looks like your daughter really likes it!
My favorite print is the AP Full Bloom. I like that the sling is adjustable and not sized.
I do Babywear but haven’t tried a sling like this! It looks so cute and comfortable!
We have one of these and love it! It was Charlie’s favorite for quite awhile. He loves being able to face more outward than he can in the wrap.
