Diaper rash is no stranger to most parents. My kids have very sensitive skin and we cloth diaper, so I am always on the lookout for cloth diaper friendly rash creams. BALM! Baby Diaper Rash Balm is a miracle cure all for so many skin ailments, it should be in every diaper bag and medicine cabinet. From eczema to bug bites, BALM! Baby Diaper Rash Balm can soothe irritation and redness and is a nice moisturizer as well.
BALM! Baby Diaper Rash Balm ingredients: Olive oil, coconut oil, macadamia nut oil, sesame seed oil, noni, calendula, chamomille, comfrey, rosemary, candelilla wax, St. John’s wort extract, chickweed extract, neem oil, kukui nut oil, vitamin e T-50, Organic Essential oil blend of orange, lavender & tea tree oils. (May cause reaction if you have a tree nut allergy.)
The wax helps make this balm a great barrier cream with staying power, while still allowing it to rinse cleanly from cloth diapers. The calendula and comfrey soothe irritation. The lavender and tea tree have antimicrobial and anti-fungal properties. BALM! Baby Diaper Rash Balm is thicker and more substantial than other remedies like plain coconut oil, so it is a nice protective layer against acidic poop.
It comes in a two ounce glass jar with a metal lid, so there is no plastic and it is 100% recyclable! Pair that with the all natural ingredients, many sourced right in Hawaii, this American made diaper balm really is the BALM! This product does not contain any animal ingredients and is free of zinc oxide. If you prefer the power of zinc, you can use BALM! Baby SUN! Natural SunScreen as a diaper rash remedy as well. I like this balm for my dry skin, and my daughter’s cradle cap. I only wish I had known about it for postpartum healing. I would have liked to try it then.
