Family Cloth Wipes Review: Would You Replace Toilet Paper?

Family Cloth Wipes is a new business making and selling beautiful cotton flannel cloth wipes. Those of us who love using all things cloth and reusable know how convenient and useful a decent stash of cloth wipes can be when it comes to cloth diapering, wiping hands and chins, and personal care. I have a few different cloth wipes in my own collection. From french terry cloth to hemp to flannel, each type has its specialty.

Family Cloth Wipes currently has a new Etsy shop where you can view and purchase their beautiful handiwork.

They sell flannel wipes in sets of 15, 30, and 45. Each wipe has rounded corners and two soft layers of flannel. They measure 6X8 inches and have neatly serged edges giving them an attractive appearance and durability. The most difficult decision with Family Cloth Wipes is which adorable pattern to choose. From polka dots and flowers to sports and patchwork, the lively patterns are cute and fun.

Family Cloth Wipes sent me some wipes to try out for myself.

The first thing about them that caught my attention is the shape and size. All of my other wipes are around 8×8 inches with narrowly rounded corners. I find myself often folding them a bit for a more convenient shape. So the 6×8 inch size and widely rounded corners are very appealing to me. It means none of the wipe is wasted since it is closer to the shape of my hand.

I also like the double layer of flannel. My other flannel wipes I own are single layer and I generally like to fold them for an extra layer of protection, especially using them as baby wipes or for personal care. I generally like flannel for wipes since it is soft and durable. I often use terry cloth for grabbing big messes, but use flannel for softer clean ups. Plus, these wipes are perfect for replacing toilet tissue and most people prefer something soft against their skin. When put to the test, I was able to clean up a messy toddler diaper with just one wipe! There is something to be said about the double layer.

Not only do these wipes come in a variety of great prints and patterns, but they are also very affordable. The 30 packs generally sell for $25.50 and 15 packs go for around $12.75. I consider them a good deal for double layer fabric and quality stitching. It is obvious Family Cloth Wipes takes pride in creating a quality product.

  2. Greetings, I would love to try the flannel ones with the dragonflies…and I will be on vacation from the 16 to 25…thank you for such a great giveaway!

  3. I like the baby blue and green quilt print. I bought a fleece panel with that same/similar print and love it. Didn’t work for FC though. Flannel would be so much better.

  4. I love the Camo and Brown wipes set. Didn’t work for FC though. I LOVE the bright paisley print! My favorite family cloth wipes set is their Lots-of-Bubbles.

  5. I really like the set that has the circles/brown paisley/ strips!!!! There’s a set of 15 that are teal with multi-colored circles. Snazzy!
