Swimsuits for an Active Mom

mom swimsuits 2015

It is about that time of year. Some of us look forward to the fun in the sun and splashing all day. Others are dreading it with every fiber or their being. It is swimsuit season.

Swimsuits are tricky business for women. That business becomes about a thousand times more sensitive once we have children.  Yes, our bodies do this amazing thing bringing babies into this world, but they are forever changed after. Things shift and droop and bulge and finding a suit you can wear while chasing the kids is a challenge. This isn’t about being able to pull off the micro bikini. It is about being active and playing without a wardrobe malfunction. It is about postpartum wobbly bits and big leaky boobs.

We need form. We need function. We need to build sand castles and jump and frolic.

How about some swimsuits that allow you to do more than just lay there and look pretty!

Here are nine suits with straps and coverage to ensure a new mom can actually have fun at the beach.

P.S. Don’t forget your sunscreen!
