You may recall my previous aspirations for the Girl Room I had in mind for my daughters. There were the before pictures. The inspiration. The wants and needs. The crafty in-progress bunting. And then…..nothing.
Girls Room & Nursery: Before Pictures and Aspirations
Fabric Flag Bunting for the Girls’ Room
It is not that I didn’t sort of finish. I sort of did. I have a couple things to hang and I want some canvas prints for over the dresser. However, I cannot ever keep the room neat for longer than five seconds in order to set up lights and take pictures. It just does not work with a two year old and four year old playing ( i.e. trashing) the whole house every millisecond or so.
So here you go. The TRUE, REALISTIC after pictures of the nursery/girls room:
There. That is what a well used little girl room looks like after an attempt at decorating, designing, or whatever you want to call it. No artful arrangements. No handmade dolls from Etsy. A sea of brightly colored plastic. Oh, there is an IKEA chair in the corner not shown.
Mory has not even slept in here minus a couple short naps. Her crib mostly serves as a resting spot for Wyn’s sock monkey.
That after is the story of my life – I cannot keep a room clean for the life of me. That said, it looks wonderful! 🙂
I think they call it picking your battles. haha
