My daughter Wyn is seven months old now and she loves having little nibbles of solid food. Even those few little bites can get messy and have brought about two dilemmas: staining on her clothing and diaper rash. One fact of life is that babies drool, and when that drool has nectarines and chicken in it, there is evidence left behind. What doesn’t get left behind in puddles running down her shirt, comes out in the diaper. My kids have sensitive skin and get diaper rash from any new food, so I find myself slathering them with all kinds of potions.
I recently had the opportunity to try two products to combat these problems from ecoSTORE.
EcoSTORE was started in New Zealand and proudly makes all of their products with the safest ingredients possible. Their environmentally and human friendly products are distributed all over the world. They offer safe, green products for affordable prices without compromise.
To combat stains, I have been using their Pure Oxygen Whitener. Not only does this laundry whitener have no chlorine bleach, but it works! Whites are whiter and stains are always faded if not completely gone! Oxygen whitener gives your laundry the power of hydrogen peroxide which gets your fabrics cleaner and even sanitizes. It is great to use on cloth diapers so long as it doesn’t have any harmful additives. The lack of harmful chemicals in ecoSTORE’s is what makes this whitener so great!
EcoSTORE Oxygen Whitener contains NO toxic petrochemicals, lauryl laureth sulfates, propylene glycol, dyes, artificial perfumes, parabens, cocamide DEA, cocomidopropyl betaine.
The ingredients are: Carbonates (simple mineral salts), Sodium percarbonate (oxygen producing whitener), Sodium bicarbonate (baking soda), Citrates (from citrus), Highly biodegradable surfactant, Natural citrus oil.
Their surfactant is coconut based. It comes in a 35.3 ounce container and retails for just $7.85. Add a quarter cup to your next laundry load and see the difference. Plus, the grey water containing this whitener is safe for watering your yard and trees.
Another great product from ecoSTORE USA is their Baby Nappy Balm.
EcoSTORE Nappy Balm is made from vegetabel based oild and zinc oxide. It is non-greasy and rinses easily.
Ingredients: Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Oil, Cera Alba (Beeswax), Zinc Oxide, and Psuedowintera Colorata (Horopito) Extract.
The zinc in this formula reduces redness and clears irritation quickly. Since it is from plant based oils, it rinses clean away from fabric in hot water so it is safe to use with your cloth diapers. (Please note, even cloth friendly creams might build up after continued use.) Yes, zinc is fine on your diapers.
I love that there are no fish oils or soy in this diaper balm. Like other ecoSTORE products, it is also free from toxic petrochemicals, lauryl laureth sulfates, propylene glycol, dyes, artificial perfumes, parabens, cocamide DEA, cocomidopropyl betaine.
This balm comes in a two ounce container and retails for $5.10. It really is a steal!
EcoSTORE products are all plant based and carry the No nasty chemicals™ message. They are affordably priced and highly concentrated so you can use less. Check out their site and follow them for updates on products and promos!
I’ve been looking for something natural to help with the stains, especially my little guy loves feeding himself and is working really hard on using that fork and spoon. Thanks for sharing!
I’ve never tried any products from them, but the Nappy Balm sounds great!
I have never tried these products. I think they would be good since cloth diapers are all the rage.
I wish these had been around, or I had known about them, when My kids were little. My middle child had a NASTY allergic reaction to a well known diaper rash ointment. It was horrible. I’d much prefer using natural products if possible.
i want to try the nappy balm! even at 4 yrs old struggling with potty training my son gets rashes and we are always looking for new relief for him
I have never heard of this brand before! With 4 children I could really use the whitener!
I’ve been looking for a natural whitener. Thanks for sharing this. I will check out what else the company offers.
I also LOVED the EcoStore Oxygen Whitener. Now that they are no longer in business, have you found another natural oxygen whitener? I am on the hunt! Thank you–
Not yet, but when i do, I will let people know. I have tried the biokleen one, but I am not sure how much it did.
Yes, I have made two batches of my laundry soap with the Biokleen version and it is not working well. I am not pleased with the results. Thank you for responding–
